The next cast of anglers
The Next Cast Youth Fishing Program was developed to teach and encourage young people to get out and enjoy this favored past time. Over the years and with the introduction of personal devices there seems to be a drop in the next generation getting involved in fishing or the outdoors in general. Youth often fall through the cracks for whatever reason, it may be a lack of interest from parents, loss of a parent, or sometimes it can revolve around a financial burden.
The goal of this FREE program is to supply not only the knowledge but also the tools required to fish. Each participant receives a fishing rod and reel, rod glove, tackle box, a variety of lures, teaching material, life jacket, and a UPF Neck Gaiter (BUFF). In addition to all of this each will get a team jersey, customized with their last name. This is where sponsorship dollars are being used and why they are so important in making this the best program of it's kind.
Not only is this program teaching them a new hobby but it also gives them the opportunity to meet new people and be part of a team dynamic, something many may never have the opportunity to experience.

proving its worth
The idea of teaching these kids how to fish was the initial goal but upon a successful launch I now realize that it's so much more. To see the results in-class or on the water were great, but when you receive a letter from a mother stating how it's changed her son, it really takes the program to another level. > Read the letter to the right to see the impact this program has.
